Our radiator and cooling-system diagnosis, service and repair may include:
- Complete Cooling System Inspection – Inspect the radiator, hoses, coolant reservoir, water pump and other accessible cooling-system components for leaks, deterioration or damage.
- Radiator Inspection & Replacement – Check the radiator for leaks, cracks, corrosion, damaged fins, restrictions or other problems and replace it when necessary.
- Coolant Level & Condition Check – Inspect coolant level and condition and verify the appropriate coolant specification when servicing the system.
- Cooling System Pressure Test – Pressure-test the system when necessary to locate coolant leaks that may not be visible during a basic inspection.
- Coolant Flush & Replacement – Drain or exchange old coolant and refill the system with the manufacturer-specified coolant when service is due.
- Radiator Hose Inspection & Replacement – Inspect upper and lower radiator hoses and other accessible coolant hoses for cracking, swelling, leakage, softness or deterioration.
- Water Pump Inspection & Replacement – Check for coolant leakage, bearing noise or other signs of water-pump failure and replace when necessary.
- Thermostat Inspection & Replacement – Diagnose thermostat problems that may cause overheating, slow engine warm-up or improper operating temperature.
- Cooling Fan Diagnosis & Repair – Check electric radiator fans, fan motors, relays, fuses, sensors and related circuits for proper operation.
- Radiator Cap / Pressure Cap Inspection – Inspect the cooling-system pressure cap and replace it when it cannot properly maintain system pressure.
- Coolant Reservoir Inspection – Check the expansion tank or coolant reservoir for cracks, leaks or damaged connections.
- Temperature Sensor Diagnosis – Diagnose engine-coolant temperature sensors and related electrical components when warning lights or temperature concerns are present.
- Heater Core & Heater Hose Inspection – Inspect related heater hoses and diagnose heater-core concerns when coolant leaks, odors or poor cabin heat are present.
- Leak Diagnosis – Identify the source of coolant loss, including radiator, hose, water-pump, thermostat housing, reservoir and other accessible cooling-system leaks.
- Overheating Diagnosis – Determine whether overheating is being caused by low coolant, leaks, restricted flow, fan problems, thermostat failure, water-pump issues or another mechanical concern.
- Head Gasket / Internal Leak Testing – When symptoms indicate a possible internal engine problem, additional testing may be recommended to check for combustion gases or coolant entering the engine.
- System Bleeding – Properly bleed trapped air from the cooling system after applicable repairs or coolant replacement.
- Final Temperature & Performance Test – Run and/or road-test the vehicle as appropriate to verify proper operating temperature, cooling-fan operation and coolant circulation after repairs.
Our goal is to diagnose the cause of a cooling-system problem before replacing components. An overheating engine does not automatically mean the radiator has failed. The problem could be caused by a coolant leak, thermostat, water pump, cooling fan, hose, sensor, restricted coolant flow or an internal engine issue.
Once the cause is identified, we recommend the appropriate repair—from a coolant service or hose replacement to radiator, thermostat, water-pump, cooling-fan or related cooling-system repairs.
Recommendation: Cooling-system problems should be addressed promptly. Continuing to drive an overheating vehicle can result in severe engine damage, including cylinder-head warping or head-gasket failure. Regular coolant and cooling-system maintenance helps maintain proper engine temperature, prevent breakdowns and extend engine life.
