Why Proper Drivetrain Diagnosis Matters
A drivetrain noise or vibration does not automatically identify which component has failed. A vibration that feels like a driveshaft problem could actually be caused by a CV axle, wheel bearing, tire, mount or differential. Likewise, a clunk may originate from a U-joint, axle, differential, transfer case or another component.
Replacing parts without identifying the actual source can result in unnecessary repairs without correcting the original problem.
