Our clutch diagnosis, service and repair may include:
- Clutch Operation Inspection – Check clutch engagement, disengagement, pedal feel and overall operation.
- Clutch Disc Inspection & Replacement – Diagnose a worn, slipping, contaminated or damaged clutch disc and replace when necessary.
- Pressure Plate Inspection – Inspect for wear, heat damage, distortion or loss of clamping force.
- Flywheel Inspection & Service – Inspect the flywheel for excessive wear, cracks, hot spots or warping and resurface or replace when appropriate.
- Release/Throwout Bearing – Inspect and replace worn or noisy release bearings.
- Pilot Bearing/Bushing – Inspect and replace the pilot bearing or bushing when applicable.
- Clutch Hydraulic System – Inspect the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydraulic lines and fluid for leaks or improper operation.
- Clutch Cable & Linkage – Inspect, adjust or replace clutch cables and mechanical linkage on vehicles equipped with these systems.
- Transmission Input Seal Inspection – Check for fluid leaks that could contaminate the clutch assembly.
- Rear Main Seal Inspection – Inspect for engine-oil leakage in the clutch area while the transmission is removed.
- Transmission Mount Inspection – Check mounts for excessive movement, deterioration or damage.
- Shifting & Transmission Inspection – Evaluate difficult or abnormal shifting to determine whether the concern is caused by the clutch, shifter/linkage, transmission or another drivetrain component.
- Noise & Vibration Diagnosis – Diagnose grinding, rattling, squealing, chatter and vibration during clutch operation.
- Road Test – Verify clutch engagement, shifting performance and drivetrain operation before and after repairs.
Our goal is to correctly identify the cause of the clutch concern before replacing components. When clutch replacement is necessary, we typically recommend inspecting the complete clutch system—including the clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, release bearing, pilot bearing, hydraulic components and accessible seals—while the transmission is removed.
Proper clutch repair helps restore smooth engagement, reliable shifting and efficient power transfer while reducing the risk of additional transmission or drivetrain damage.
