Our axle diagnosis, service and repair may include:
- CV Axle Inspection & Replacement – Inspect CV axles for excessive wear, damage, vibration or abnormal movement and replace when necessary.
- CV Joint Inspection – Check inner and outer CV joints for wear, clicking, binding or excessive play.
- CV Boot Inspection & Repair – Inspect boots for cracks, tears or grease leakage that can allow dirt and moisture into the CV joint.
- Axle Shaft Inspection & Replacement – Inspect axle shafts for bending, damage, excessive wear or other conditions affecting drivetrain operation.
- Axle Seal Inspection & Replacement – Check for transmission or differential fluid leaking around axle seals and replace failed seals as necessary.
- Wheel Bearing & Hub Inspection – Inspect related wheel bearings and hub assemblies for excessive play, grinding or humming noises.
- Differential Connection Inspection – Check the axle connection at the differential for leakage, excessive movement or damaged components.
- Driveshaft & U-Joint Inspection – On applicable vehicles, inspect driveshafts, U-joints and related components for wear, looseness or vibration.
- Solid Axle Inspection – Inspect axle housings, shafts, bearings and seals on trucks, SUVs and other solid-axle vehicles.
- Suspension & Steering Inspection – Inspect nearby suspension and steering components when necessary to determine whether noises or vibrations are actually axle-related.
- Fluid Leak Diagnosis – Identify transmission, differential or axle-housing leaks that may affect axle components.
- Noise & Vibration Diagnosis – Diagnose clicking while turning, clunking during acceleration/deceleration, highway-speed vibration and other drivetrain noises.
- Road Test – Evaluate the vehicle before and after repairs to verify proper axle and drivetrain operation.
Our goal is to accurately diagnose the source of the problem before replacing components. Axle-related symptoms can sometimes be caused by wheel bearings, differentials, driveshafts, transmission components, engine/transmission mounts, or suspension parts, so proper diagnosis is important.
Once the problem is identified, we recommend the appropriate repair—from CV boot or axle-seal replacement to complete CV axle, axle shaft, bearing or related drivetrain component replacement—to restore smooth power delivery and dependable vehicle operation.
